Position: Demi Chef de Partie, Sushi
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a wide variety of high-quality sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to standard recipes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station at the sushi counter.
- Manage inventory of fresh fish and other ingredients, ensuring proper storage and quality control.
- Assist senior chefs in menu development and daily specials.
- Engage with guests at the sushi bar, providing an exceptional and interactive dining experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sushi Cook or Demi Chef in a reputable Japanese restaurant or 5-star hotel.
- Strong skills in fish preparation, sushi rolling, and sashimi cutting techniques.
- A deep passion for and knowledge of Japanese cuisine.
- Ability to work with precision and consistency in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Creative and able to contribute to menu innovation.
