Position: Demi Chef de Partie, Sushi
Responsibilities:
- Prepare high quality sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to standards.
- Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the sushi station.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Maintain inventory of fish, rice, and other sushi ingredients.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Demi Chef de Partie in a high quality Japanese restaurant or hotel.
- Strong knowledge and skills in sushi and sashimi preparation.
- Creativity and precision in food presentation.
- Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- A team player with a passion for Japanese cuisine.
- Formal culinary training is preferred.
