Position: Commis

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of various dishes
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with hygiene standards
  • Prepare ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring, for the daily menu
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items to minimize waste
  • Follow established recipes and presentation guidelines for all food orders

Qualifications:

  • Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene
  • Passion for cooking and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
  • Physical fitness to handle kitchen equipment and stand for long periods
  • Vocational training in culinary arts or previous kitchen experience is preferred
  • Flexibility to work different shifts including evenings and holidays
