Position: Commis
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of various dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with hygiene standards
- Prepare ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring, for the daily menu
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items to minimize waste
- Follow established recipes and presentation guidelines for all food orders
Qualifications:
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- Passion for cooking and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Physical fitness to handle kitchen equipment and stand for long periods
- Vocational training in culinary arts or previous kitchen experience is preferred
- Flexibility to work different shifts including evenings and holidays
