Position: Spanish Jr. Sous Chef

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in managing the daily operations of the kitchen, focusing on the Spanish or specialty restaurant concept.
  • Supervise and train junior culinary staff, ensuring the consistency and quality of all Spanish dishes prepared.
  • Manage inventory, minimize food waste, and adhere to strict cost control measures for the culinary department.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP) at all times.
  • Contribute creative ideas for menu development, utilizing authentic Spanish ingredients and techniques.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work areas and equipment.
  • Step in as Chef de Partie or Sous Chef when required, demonstrating strong leadership and technical expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie, specializing in authentic Spanish cuisine, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Solid understanding of advanced culinary techniques, kitchen management, and large-scale food production.
  • Ability to lead a team, manage high-volume service efficiently, and maintain high-quality output.
  • Relevant culinary school diploma or certification.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail, essential for 5-star presentation.
  • Passion for Spanish gastronomy and commitment to the luxury dining experience in Jakarta.
  • Proficiency in English and familiarity with Spanish culinary terms is highly beneficial.
