Position: Sous Chef – Italian Cuisine

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in managing the Italian restaurant’s kitchen operations.
  • Supervise the preparation and cooking of authentic Italian dishes, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs and cooks in the art of Italian cuisine.
  • Contribute to menu development and the creation of daily specials.
  • Manage food costs and inventory for the Italian kitchen section.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of culinary experience with a strong focus on Italian cuisine.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role (e.g., Chef de Partie, Junior Sous Chef) in a reputable Italian restaurant or hotel.
  • In-depth knowledge of regional Italian ingredients and cooking techniques.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Creative and passionate about Italian food.
  • Good understanding of kitchen management and food cost control.
  • A formal culinary education is preferred.
