Position: Sous Chef – Italian Cuisine
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Cuisine in managing the Italian restaurant’s kitchen operations.
- Supervise the preparation and cooking of authentic Italian dishes, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Train and mentor junior chefs and cooks in the art of Italian cuisine.
- Contribute to menu development and the creation of daily specials.
- Manage food costs and inventory for the Italian kitchen section.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of culinary experience with a strong focus on Italian cuisine.
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role (e.g., Chef de Partie, Junior Sous Chef) in a reputable Italian restaurant or hotel.
- In-depth knowledge of regional Italian ingredients and cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Creative and passionate about Italian food.
- Good understanding of kitchen management and food cost control.
- A formal culinary education is preferred.
