Position: Demi Chef

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chef de Partie in managing a specific kitchen section (e.g., Garde Manger, Saucier).
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standard recipes and presentations.
  • Supervise Commis chefs, providing guidance and training.
  • Ensure all food preparation meets hygiene and safety standards (HACCP).
  • Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and minimizing food waste.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of culinary experience in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
  • Strong skills in a specific kitchen section.
  • Good understanding of food safety and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with good communication skills.
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
