Position: Demi Chef
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie in managing a specific kitchen section (e.g., Garde Manger, Saucier).
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standard recipes and presentations.
- Supervise Commis chefs, providing guidance and training.
- Ensure all food preparation meets hygiene and safety standards (HACCP).
- Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and minimizing food waste.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years of culinary experience in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
- Strong skills in a specific kitchen section.
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with good communication skills.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
