Position: Chef de Cuisine – Bejana (Indonesian Restaurant)
Responsibilities:
- Lead the culinary team of Bejana, the resort’s signature Indonesian restaurant.
- Develop, create, and execute authentic and innovative Indonesian menus.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen, including staff supervision, food costing, and inventory control.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge of Indonesian cuisine.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of culinary experience with at least 2 years as a Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef in a specialty Indonesian restaurant.
- Extensive knowledge and passion for Indonesian cuisine from various regions.
- Strong leadership, creativity, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage a kitchen team in a five-star hotel environment.
- Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation (HACCP) standards.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Effective communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
