Position: Stewarding Assistant Manager
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Stewarding Manager in overseeing the entire stewarding operation.
- Manage the inventory, storage, and maintenance of all chinaware, glassware, and cutlery.
- Supervise and train the stewarding team to ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Coordinate with culinary and service teams to ensure a timely supply of clean equipment.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a stewarding department, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of chemical handling, sanitation, and hygiene standards (HACCP).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a large team in a busy, multi-outlet hotel environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with inventory control and budget management.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to management.
