Position: Jr. Sous Chef
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Sous Chef in managing a specific kitchen section or outlet.
- Supervise, train, and guide Demi Chefs and Commis in food preparation and presentation.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
- Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety (HACCP) standards.
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, ordering, and inventory control.
- Step in to lead the section in the Sous Chef’s absence.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Jr. Sous Chef or senior Chef de Partie in a 5 star luxury hotel.
- Strong culinary skills and creativity in a specific cuisine (e.g., Western, Asian, Garde Manger).
- Good leadership, training, and organizational skills.
- In depth knowledge of kitchen operations, hygiene, and cost control.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- A culinary diploma or equivalent professional training.
- Passionate about culinary excellence.
