Position: Chinese Sous Chef
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the Chinese kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality.
- Specialize in authentic Chinese cuisine, including wok, dim sum, and banquet dishes.
- Develop menus, control food costs, and manage kitchen inventory.
- Train and mentor the Chinese kitchen brigade, ensuring consistency and proper techniques.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a five star hotel’s Chinese kitchen.
- Expertise in a wide range of Chinese culinary techniques.
- Strong leadership, training, and kitchen management skills.
- Ability to manage high volume production for restaurants and banquets.
- Creative approach to menu planning and presentation.
- Strong understanding of food cost control and HACCP.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
