Position: Chinese Chef
Responsibilities:
- Lead the pre-opening and operation of the hotel’s signature Chinese restaurant.
- Develop an authentic and innovative Chinese cuisine menu that sets a new standard in Surabaya.
- Manage the Chinese kitchen brigade, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.
- Control food cost, manage inventory, and maintain kitchen hygiene.
- Train and mentor the culinary team in specialized Chinese cooking techniques.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chinese Chef or Master Chef in a 5-star hotel or renowned Chinese restaurant.
- Expertise in a specific regional Chinese cuisine (e.g., Cantonese, Szechuan) with a creative flair.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- A passionate culinary leader committed to excellence, creativity, and authenticity.
- Experience in menu engineering and food cost management.
- Pre-opening experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to create an iconic dining experience.
