Position: Asst. Chief Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing the daily operations of the Engineering department.
- Supervise and schedule maintenance staff to ensure all hotel facilities are in optimal condition.
- Implement and manage the hotel’s preventive maintenance program for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.
- Respond to and resolve maintenance requests and engineering-related guest complaints promptly.
- Conduct regular inspections of property systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety equipment.
- Assist in managing the department’s budget, controlling energy consumption, and procuring supplies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a 4 or 5-star hotel.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with hotel safety standards and local regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Diploma or degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
