Position: Sous Chef
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including staff supervision, food preparation, and quality control.
- Support menu planning and development, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the hotel’s high standards.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and food cost control in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed in the kitchen.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the same position (Sous Chef).
- Demonstrated ability to manage cost control, menus, and staff training.
- Certification in Food Safety, HACCP, or related areas will be considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for creativity and quality.
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities.
