Position: Assistant Chief Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in managing the daily operations of the Engineering department.
- Supervise the engineering team and oversee maintenance and repair work.
- Help implement and manage the preventive maintenance program.
- Monitor energy consumption and assist with cost-control measures.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to hotel standards.
- Deputize for the Chief Engineer in their absence.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience as an Assistant Chief Engineer or senior Engineering Supervisor.
- Pre-opening experience is highly valued.
- Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Good leadership and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance software and building codes.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Trade certification or degree in Engineering.
