Position: Sous Chef

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow
  • Help plan menus and supervise food preparation to maintain consistency
  • Maintain high quality and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen
  • Guide, train, and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety and sanitation procedures

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as Sous Chef or senior-level culinary role
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food costing, and menu planning
  • Ability to lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff
  • Excellent understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Culinary school certificate or relevant qualification preferred
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
