Position: Sous Chef – Chinese Restaurant

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing the Chinese kitchen operations and menu planning
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation for all Chinese dishes
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in authentic Chinese culinary techniques
  • Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in the food preparation area
  • Monitor food costs and minimize waste through efficient inventory management

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef specializing in Chinese cuisine
  • In-depth knowledge of Chinese culinary traditions and cooking methods
  • Strong leadership skills to manage a diverse kitchen team
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Creativity in menu development and food presentation
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Good communication skills and team spirit
