Position: Sous Chef Pastry

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Diploma in culinary arts, pastry & bakery, or related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in pastry or bakery operations, preferably in luxury hotels or fine-dining environments
  • Proven experience supervising pastry teams or serving in a senior pastry role
  • Strong knowledge of classical and modern pastry techniques, including desserts, cakes, breads, and plated presentation
  • Ability to develop, test, and execute innovative dessert menus aligned with luxury brand standards
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with executive chef and other kitchen sections
  • Capable of managing daily pastry production, scheduling, task delegation, and quality control
  • Strong sense of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety (HACCP knowledge preferred)
  • Able to work under pressure, multitask, and maintain consistency in a fast-paced 5-star environment
  • Positive attitude, teamwork oriented, and flexible working hours including weekends and holidays
