Position: Japanese Chef
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Japanese culinary team in preparing authentic and high-quality Japanese cuisine
- Oversee sushi, sashimi, and warm dish preparation to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction
- Implement strict hygiene and safety protocols within the Japanese kitchen station
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu enhancements and seasonal promotions
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on specialized Japanese cooking techniques
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Japanese Chef in high-end dining or luxury hospitality
- Expert knowledge of Japanese culinary traditions, ingredients, and presentation
- Strong technical skills in authentic Japanese cooking methods
- Leadership ability to manage and inspire a specialized culinary team
- Strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
- Highly motivated with a passion for delivering authentic guest experiences
- Effective communication skills in English are preferred
