Sous Chef (Western)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in leading the Western kitchen culinary team.
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and presentation meet 5-star standards.
  • Develop new menu items and contribute creative ideas for Western cuisine.
  • Manage inventory, food costing, and ordering of supplies for the kitchen.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on Western cuisine.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role (e.g., Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef).
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP).
  • Creative and passionate about culinary arts.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
