Position: Commis
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items as directed by the Chef de Partie.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Learn and practice correct cooking procedures and techniques.
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a culinary school or equivalent vocational training.
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of cooking methods and food preparation.
- A strong passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions.
- Good understanding of food safety practices.
