Position: Assistant Purchasing Manager
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Purchasing Manager in overseeing all procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
- Manage supplier relationships, conduct negotiations, and ensure contracts align with hotel quality standards and budgets.
- Process and verify purchase requests, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to internal control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels, inventory rotation, and conduct regular physical inventory checks to minimize waste and prevent shortages.
- Collaborate closely with all departments (F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering) to fulfill their operational needs efficiently.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with IHG standards and local regulations in Bali.
- Source and evaluate new vendors to maintain competitive pricing and high-quality supply chain in the Kuta area.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (2+ years) as an Assistant Purchasing Manager or Senior Purchasing Officer in a 4-5 star hotel or resort in Bali.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills, crucial for managing supplier contracts effectively.
- Deep knowledge of hotel purchasing procedures, inventory control, and cost management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing vendor and internal department relationships.
- Familiarity with hotel specific purchasing software and proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Ability to work diligently and with integrity in all financial and procurement matters.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
