Position: Demi Chef

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station according to HACCP standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and minimize food waste through efficient preparation methods.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, portion, and presentation of all food items served.
  • Guide and support junior kitchen staff or commis in their daily tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or certificate from a recognized hospitality institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in a hotel or reputable restaurant.
  • Good knowledge of various cooking techniques and international cuisines.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Creative flair and passion for culinary arts.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
