Position: Chief Steward (Job ID: 25205872)
Responsibilities:
- Manage all stewarding operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchens and back-of-house areas.
- Control inventory of chemicals, glassware, chinaware, and equipment to minimize breakage and loss.
- Manage the stewarding team’s scheduling and provide training on sanitation and safety standards.
- Coordinate with the executive chef to ensure proper equipment availability for all shifts and events.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and local environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chief Steward or Assistant Chief Steward in a large hotel operation.
- Deep knowledge of sanitation chemicals, dishwashing equipment, and HACCP standards.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage a diverse back-of-house team.
- High degree of physical fitness and the ability to work in a high-temperature kitchen environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic communication skills in English are a plus.
- Professional attitude and commitment to operational efficiency.
