HJI analytics reveal that a Director of Wellbeing who focuses solely on the “spa walls” without integrating into the culinary and cultural brand often fails to achieve true resort-wide impact.
Position: Director of Wellbeing
Responsibilities:
- Shape and manage a holistic wellbeing ecosystem across the resort, covering movement, recovery, and therapeutic offerings
- Develop community-driven programming, meaningful rituals, and experiences that reconnect guests with themselves and their surroundings
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Programming, Culinary, and Brand teams to curate intuitive and human-centered guest journeys
- Oversee the design and implementation of wellness-focused guest experiences rooted in local Ubud culture
- Lead the wellbeing department with a visionary approach, ensuring physical, mental, and social wellness are integrated resort-wide
Qualifications:
- Strategic thinker with a deep passion for wellness in all its forms
- Creative approach to experience design and hospitality programming
- Ability to lead with heart and intention within a high-profile pre-opening team
- Visionary leader who believes wellbeing is multidimensional (physical, mental, emotional, social)
- Proven experience in leadership roles within high-end spa, wellness, or lifestyle hospitality
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse departments
- This position is open to local candidates only
- Indonesian citizenship
