Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a kitchen supervisory or senior Commis role
- Solid culinary foundation and technical skills in hot or cold kitchen
- Good communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset
- Detailed-oriented with a focus on consistency and speed of service
- Understanding of kitchen hygiene and workplace safety protocols
- Highly motivated to learn and grow within the Marriott culinary team
- Vocational training in culinary arts or hospitality is an advantage
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef De Partie in coordinating daily mis-en-place and service
- Supervise junior cooks to ensure recipes and presentation standards are followed
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of refrigeration and storage areas
- Ensure all food preparation is completed according to the daily production sheet
- Support the kitchen leadership in controlling food costs and stock rotation
