Position: Chief Steward
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily steward operations to ensure all kitchen equipment and service ware are cleaned to IHG standards
- Supervise the chemical inventory and ensure safe handling of professional cleaning supplies
- Coordinate with F&B outlets and banquets for equipment requirements during peak service
- Implement waste management protocols and monitor kitchen sanitation property-wide
- Train the stewarding team on safety procedures and equipment operation
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a senior steward or supervisor in a high volume hotel environment
- Thorough knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals and sanitation standards
- Ability to lead and inspire a technical workforce under high pressure
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail regarding cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills for team coordination and professional reporting
- Consistent approach to hygiene and operational excellence
- Knowledge of HACCP guidelines is highly regarded
