Position: Chef de Partie (Pastry)
Responsibilities:
- Manage a specific section of the pastry kitchen as directed by the Sous Chef.
- Prepare and present high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked items.
- Ensure all recipes and standards are followed with precision and consistency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station.
- Assist in training Commis Chefs and managing inventory for the section.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a pastry cook in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
- Proficiency in a range of pastry techniques, including baking, chocolate work, and dessert plating.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for pastry and a desire to learn and grow.
- Formal culinary or pastry training is an asset.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
