Position: Sous Chef (Authentic Indonesian Cuisine)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a section of the kitchen specializing in the preparation of high-quality, authentic Indonesian cuisine.
  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in menu planning, development, and recipe creation.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
  • Manage inventory, food costing, and ordering for the Indonesian cuisine section.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of culinary experience with a deep specialization in authentic Indonesian cuisine.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role (e.g., Chef de Partie, Junior Sous Chef) in a 5-star hotel or fine dining restaurant.
  • Creative flair and a passion for showcasing the diversity of Indonesian flavors.
  • Strong leadership and team-mentoring skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, cost control, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A culinary degree is preferred.
