Position: Sous Chef – Pastry

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in managing the daily operations of the pastry and bakery department.
• Supervise the production of all desserts, pastries, cakes, and breads for all hotel outlets.
• Contribute to the development of new and creative dessert menus and concepts.
• Train, mentor, and supervise the pastry team to ensure high standards are met.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost control for the pastry kitchen.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-volume pastry kitchen, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Expertise in a wide range of pastry and baking techniques, including chocolate and sugar work.
• Strong creativity and artistic skills for presentation.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Good knowledge of food cost control and inventory management.
• Experience in a large 5-star resort is essential.
• A pastry diploma or equivalent certification is required.
