Position: Sous Chef

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the overall management of the kitchen operations.
  • Lead and supervise a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Contribute to menu development, costing, and innovation.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and ensure compliance with all HACCP and food safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef de Partie in a 5-star hotel or fine dining restaurant.
  • A culinary degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in international cuisine and modern culinary techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Creative, passionate, and able to perform well under pressure.
  • Strong financial understanding of food costing and kitchen management.
