Position: Steward Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the stewarding team.
  • Ensure all kitchens, F&B outlets, and event areas are supplied with clean and sanitized serviceware.
  • Manage and maintain the cleanliness and organization of all back of house kitchen areas, including dishwashing stations.
  • Oversee the proper use and maintenance of dishwashing machines and other stewarding equipment.
  • Control and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and serviceware (china, glass, silver).
  • Train staff on chemical handling, safety procedures, and hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a stewarding department, with 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Thorough knowledge of hygiene, sanitation (HACCP), and chemical safety protocols.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Experience in managing inventory and controlling breakage.
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with the culinary and service teams.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts.
