Position: Demi Chef Pastry
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a section of the pastry kitchen to ensure high quality production and presentation
- Ensure all pastry items are handled according to hygiene and food safety standards
- Assist the Pastry Chef in menu planning and development of dessert offerings
- Maintain kitchen equipment and manage inventory for the pastry section
- Train and mentor junior culinary staff to maintain consistent excellence
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Commis or senior pastry cook in a professional hotel environment
- Strong technical skills in international pastry and baking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a high volume culinary setting
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations
- Creative mindset with attention to detail in pastry presentation
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the entire kitchen team
- Relevant culinary education is preferred
