As a Hotel Sales Manager, your main responsibility is to drive sales and revenue growth for the hotel. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Sales Manager
- Responsible for corporate and travel agent room sales for the hotel.
- Understand the hotel’s business strategy, then set goals and determine action plans to meet them.
- Update the Action Plan and Quarterly Financial Objectives.
- Identify new markets and business opportunities to increase sales.
- Represent the hotel in various events and exhibitions.
- Implement all sales action plans related to the assigned market segment.
- Make daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to the hotel for corporate clients.
- Provide fast and timely responses, direct communication, and develop professional long-term business relationships.
- Provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
- Participate in sales calls with sales team members to acquire new business or close a deal.
- Execute and support the operational aspects of booked business (e.g., CVGR, proposals, corporate rate applications, contracts, customer correspondence).
- Support hotel service and relationship strategies, encouraging customer loyalty by providing service excellence.
- Collaborate with the revenue manager to ensure proposed negotiated rates meet the hotel’s financial needs.
- Develop strong relationships with the front office team to ensure unity and shared goals.
- Accompany the sales team on sales calls to assess the effectiveness and sales skills of salespeople and assist in account development.
- Assess additional training needs based on data collected and interaction with the sales team.
- Attend all required department and hotel meetings.
- Target key potential accounts for the company.
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
- Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
- Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Acquire and develop new business accounts and prepare sales proposals for clients.
- Follow up on all business prospects within a 24-hour response time.
