Position: Chief Steward
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the stewarding department to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchens and F&B outlets.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of all dishwashing machinery and cleaning equipment.
- Manage the inventory and control of all china, glassware, and silver.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and sanitation policies in compliance with HACCP standards.
- Train, schedule, and supervise the stewarding team to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a stewarding leadership role, preferably as Chief Steward or Assistant Chief Steward in a luxury hotel.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and HACCP regulations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
- Ability to manage inventory and control departmental expenses.
- Experience in managing a large and diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills in English.
