Position: Commis I Cold Banquet
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute all cold food items for banquet events, including salads, appetizers, and desserts.
- Assist the Chef de Partie in mise en place and food production according to recipes.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the cold kitchen station and walk in chillers.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commis, specializing in cold kitchen or pantry.
- Strong knowledge of cold food preparation, garde manger, and presentation techniques.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume banquet environment.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Willing to learn and take direction.
