Position: Demi Chef Pastry
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie Pastry in preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads.
- Ensure all pastry items meet high standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry station.
- Follow recipes and production schedules accurately.
- Monitor inventory of pastry ingredients and assist with ordering.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a pastry kitchen, preferably in a 4 or 5 star hotel.
- Strong skills in baking, pastry, and dessert preparation.
- Creative with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- Formal culinary or pastry education is a plus.
- Good team player.
