Position: Host – Kitchen (Chinese Cuisine)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic Chinese cuisine dishes according to hotel standards.
- Ensure all food items are prepared, cooked, and presented in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workstation (mise en place).
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Assist the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef with inventory, ordering, and stock rotation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cook specializing in Chinese Cuisine, particularly Wok.
- Experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel or reputable Chinese restaurant is required.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and menu items.
- Ability to work in a fast paced kitchen environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Must be disciplined, passionate about culinary arts, and detail oriented.
- Formal culinary training is an advantage.
