Position: Sous Chef
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the efficient and timely operation of the kitchen, maintaining optimal workflow and performance in a high-volume environment.
- Maintain full compliance with local municipality HACCP standards and certification, ensuring the highest levels of food safety and hygiene.
- Guarantee consistency in the preparation of all food items for both a la carte and buffet menus, strictly adhering to hotel recipes and standards.
- Conduct daily shift briefings to kitchen colleagues, providing updates, instruction, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Actively interact with guests at tables and in the dining area to gather feedback and enhance the overall dining experience.
- Balance operational, administrative, and Colleague needs to ensure a smooth, professional, and profitable kitchen department in Kuta.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of progressive experience in a similar culinary role within a reputable hotel or restaurant setting in a busy tourist area like Kuta.
- Demonstrably strong interpersonal and sophisticated problem-solving abilities in a demanding kitchen environment.
- Possess a creative and innovative approach to the production and aesthetic presentation of high-quality food.
- Well-developed capacity for strategic decision-making and a track record of proven results in guest satisfaction, operational excellence, revenues, and profit.
- Deep knowledge of international and Indonesian culinary techniques, specifically for a lifestyle hotel brand.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with international guests and team members.
