Position: Executive Chef
Responsibilities:
- Provide innovative, detailed-oriented, and quality-conscious leadership, staying aware of new trends in food presentation and preparation.
- Effectively plan and develop profitable menus considering product availability, food/service cost, marketing conditions, and business volume.
- Assign prices for daily menus to ensure net profit and participate in decisions regarding printing, layout, portions, and distribution of menus.
- Ensure the consistent preparation and presentation of all food items to the highest level, demonstrated through production and professional demonstration.
- Maintain full compliance with local municipality HACCP standards and certification across all kitchen operations.
- Lead and manage all culinary staff, fostering a culture of excellence, development, and high performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in a similar leadership role as an Executive Chef, preferably within a branded hotel in a competitive market like Bali.
- Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and team development skills to drive high performance and colleague satisfaction.
- Strong interpersonal and complex problem-solving abilities to manage daily operational challenges and guest relations.
- A creative, visionary approach to menu engineering, food concept development, and the production of high-quality food.
- Well-developed capacity for strategic decision-making and a track record of proven results in guest/employee satisfaction, operational excellence, and profit.
- Advanced knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and cost control specific to a multi-outlet hotel culinary department.
- Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written, with strong presentation and communication skills.
