Position: Host – Kitchen (Chinese Cuisine)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic Chinese cuisine dishes following standard recipes and presentation guidelines of Hyatt Place Makassar.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Chinese kitchen section, strictly adhering to hygiene standards (HACCP).
- Manage inventory of Chinese ingredients and minimize waste effectively.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless food production and timely service.
- Monitor food quality and ensure all dishes meet guest expectations for taste and temperature.
Qualifications:
- Specialized experience (2+ years) as a Commis or Demi Chef in preparing high-quality Chinese Cuisine in a commercial kitchen or hotel setting.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and wok handling.
- Ability to work efficiently and consistently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for precise and authentic culinary execution.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support overall kitchen operations.
- Valid Food Handler certificate is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
