Position: Host – Kitchen (Chinese Cuisine)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook authentic Chinese cuisine dishes following standard recipes and presentation guidelines of Hyatt Place Makassar.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Chinese kitchen section, strictly adhering to hygiene standards (HACCP).
• Manage inventory of Chinese ingredients and minimize waste effectively.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless food production and timely service.
• Monitor food quality and ensure all dishes meet guest expectations for taste and temperature.

Qualifications:

• Specialized experience (2+ years) as a Commis or Demi Chef in preparing high-quality Chinese Cuisine in a commercial kitchen or hotel setting.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and wok handling.
• Ability to work efficiently and consistently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for precise and authentic culinary execution.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support overall kitchen operations.
• Valid Food Handler certificate is preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
