Position: Sous Chef

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including staff supervision, food preparation, and quality control.
  • Support menu planning and development, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the hotel’s high standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and food cost control in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed in the kitchen.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the same position (Sous Chef).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cost control, menus, and staff training.
  • Certification in Food Safety, HACCP, or related areas will be considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for creativity and quality.
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities.
