Position: Sous Chef Pastry
Responsibilities:
- Lead the pastry section, overseeing all preparation, production, and presentation of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Develop new and creative dessert menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
- Manage, train, and schedule the pastry team.
- Control inventory, manage food costs, and ensure quality of all ingredients.
- Ensure the pastry kitchen operates in compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a Sous Chef Pastry or senior Pastry Chef in a luxury resort or high-end restaurant.
- Exceptional creativity and technical skill in all aspects of pastry and baking.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of food cost control and inventory management.
- Culinary degree with a specialization in pastry arts.
- Passion for innovation in dessert creation.
