Position: Steward Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily operations of the Stewarding department, ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all kitchens, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and storage of all cleaning chemicals, equipment, and dishwashing machines.
  • Manage and schedule the Stewarding team, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for all F&B outlets and banquet events.
  • Implement and monitor all hotel hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (HACCP).
  • Control inventory of china, glass, silverware, and kitchen equipment, minimizing breakage and loss.
  • Coordinate dish and equipment requirements with F&B Service and Culinary teams for all operations.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on best practices for sanitation and equipment handling for the team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Steward Supervisor or a senior Stewarding role in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
  • In-depth knowledge of HACCP, sanitation protocols, and commercial kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage a team effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced F&B environment.
  • Must be proactive in identifying and resolving operational issues related to hygiene and equipment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by the hotel operations.
  • A professional attitude with a focus on precision and excellence, which makes the biggest difference at the hotel.
