Position: Junior Sous Chef

Responsibilities:

  • Assume strong leadership in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring all sections run efficiently and smoothly.
  • Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and strict portion control across all dishes produced.
  • Skillfully manage menu planning, accurate costing, comprehensive stock and inventory management, and effective supplier coordination.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and high-performance culinary team.
  • Ensure full compliance with all valid Food Safety and Hygiene certificates and standards (HACCP).

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management from a recognized institution.
  • 3-5 years of professional kitchen experience, including 1-2 years as Chef de Partie or equivalent in a 5-star resort environment.
  • Strong leadership in managing kitchen operations and ensuring consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Skilled in menu planning, costing, stock and inventory management, and effective supplier coordination.
  • Valid Food Safety & Hygiene certificates are mandatory.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for team motivation and coordination.
  • Ability to make quick, accurate decisions under pressure and handle high-volume service.
