Position: Duty Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the designated Manager on Duty for the entire hotel, overseeing all operational aspects during assigned shifts.
  • Handle complex guest incidents, complaints, and emergency situations with professionalism, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolution under 5-star standards.
  • Conduct regular floor inspections to ensure public areas, front-of-house, and back-of-house comply with safety and appearance standards.
  • Act as a key liaison between all operating departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Security) to maintain seamless service flow.
  • Support the Front Office team during peak periods (check-in/check-out) and manage VIP arrivals and departures.
  • Complete and disseminate thorough handover reports detailing key events and operational issues during the shift.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all hotel policies, safety regulations, and Meliá brand standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, or a senior Front Office role in a luxury 5-star hotel in Kuningan or Jakarta Selatan.
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, communication, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Strong leadership presence, excellent grooming, and a professional, guest-focused demeanor.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and spoken, for effective internal and external communication.
  • Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and front office procedural knowledge.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including overnight and weekends, as required by 24-hour luxury operations.
  • Commitment to the high service standards expected in a Gran Meliá property.
