Position: Commis

Responsibilities:

  • Support senior chefs in daily food preparation and mise-en-place for the kitchen
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation following hygiene and food safety standards
  • Assist in cooking simple dishes and preparing ingredients according to established recipes
  • Monitor ingredient freshness and ensure proper storage and rotation of food items
  • Perform general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils as required

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen or culinary production environment
  • Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and kitchen safety
  • Positive work attitude with a strong willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and handle a physical workload
  • Attention to detail regarding food quality and hygiene protocols
  • Physical fitness to work in a high-temperature kitchen environment
  • Vocational high school (SMK) graduate in Culinary Arts or related field
