Position: Commis
Responsibilities:
- Support senior chefs in daily food preparation and mise-en-place for the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation following hygiene and food safety standards
- Assist in cooking simple dishes and preparing ingredients according to established recipes
- Monitor ingredient freshness and ensure proper storage and rotation of food items
- Perform general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils as required
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen or culinary production environment
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and kitchen safety
- Positive work attitude with a strong willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle a physical workload
- Attention to detail regarding food quality and hygiene protocols
- Physical fitness to work in a high-temperature kitchen environment
- Vocational high school (SMK) graduate in Culinary Arts or related field
