Position: Japanese Chef
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present authentic Japanese dishes including sushi and sashimi
- Ensure consistency in taste, portion, and quality of all Japanese culinary offerings
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in compliance with HACCP
- Assist in menu development, recipe standardization, and seasonal menu planning
- Supervise and train kitchen staff assigned to the Japanese kitchen section
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a hotel or high-end Japanese restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of traditional and modern Japanese cuisine techniques
- Ability to prepare sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese specialties with precision
- Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills
- Consistent approach to culinary quality and presentation
- Culinary certification or relevant professional training is an advantage
- Fluent in English for professional leadership and reporting
