Position: Commis ASIA
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and production of high quality dishes for the ASIA Restaurant.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards as set by senior chefs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station at all times.
- Handle and store all food products in accordance with food safety (HACCP) guidelines.
- Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations and inventory.
- Learn and develop culinary skills within a fast paced, luxury environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Commis in a 5 star hotel or reputable Asian restaurant.
- Specific knowledge and passion for Asian cuisine.
- Formal culinary training or certification is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
- Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
- Ability to handle pressure in a busy kitchen.
