Position: Pastry Chef
Responsibilities:
- Lead the pastry and bakery department, overseeing all production.
- Create and develop a wide range of desserts, pastries, cakes, and breads.
- Manage the pastry team, providing training and supervision.
- Ensure high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Control inventory, food cost, and hygiene for the pastry kitchen.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Assistant Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel or high end patisserie.
- Strong technical skills in baking, pastry, and chocolate work.
- Creative and artistic with a passion for dessert creation.
- Good leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to manage costs and inventory.
- Formal culinary or pastry arts education is required.
