Position: Commis Pastry II

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Pastry Chef in the daily preparation and production of a variety of pastry and dessert items.
  • Ensure all pastry items meet the hotel’s high-quality standards in taste and presentation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pastry section, adhering to sanitation rules.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of ingredients specific to the pastry kitchen.
  • Innovate and contribute ideas for seasonal or special event pastry offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Commis Pastry or similar role, preferably in a premium hotel bakery or kitchen.
  • Specialized knowledge of baking techniques, chocolate work, and modern dessert presentation.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work seamlessly as part of a kitchen team.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to consistency in product quality.
  • Strong sense of hygiene and professionalism in a food preparation environment.
  • Willingness to work early mornings and flexible hours as needed.
  • Creative passion for the art of pastry.
